Located amidst the Hohe Tauern National Park in Carinthia, this friendly, family-run hotel is a member of the “European Hiking Hotels”. The spacious spa area of Ferienhotel Alber features different saunas, a steam bath, a whirlpool, an infrared health cabin, various mud baths and spa packages, as well as beauty treatments and massages. The hotels also offers child care for children over 3 years, a children’s play room, a table tennis room, a mountain bike rental, a hiking gear shop, and a sunbathing lawn. Hiking poles, rucksacks, climbing shoes and heart-rate measuring devices can be rented. Located at 1,200 metres above sea level, the Mallnitz high plateau is an ideal starting point for hikes into the unspoilt landscape of the Hohe Tauern National Park. Ferienhotel Alber offers its guests the National Park Carinthia Card free of charge. This card provides free or reduced access to many attractions.

Food & Beverage

Start your day with the rich “Vitality” breakfast buffet. In the afternoon you can enjoy coffee and homemade cakes. In the evening a 4-course dinner with a choice of dishes and a salad buffet is served. Depending on the day of the week, an appetiser, speciality, ice-cream or dessert buffet is offered. Every Sunday there is a gala dinner. Hotel guests enjoy all drinks in the entire hotel area for half the price.

Travel Information

All InterCity and EuroCity trains stop in Mallnitz. The hotel offers a free shuttle service form the train station at Mallnitz/Obervellach.

Airport shuttles from Klagenfurt and Salzburg are available at an additional cost.
