Hotel Esplanade is located directly on the shore of Lake Traun, close to the centre of Gmunden. It offers a daily breakfast buffet and on-site parking. The restaurant is directly accessible with the panorama lift. Hotel Esplanade offers stunning views of the lake, the mountains of the Salzkammergut, and the famous castles and ancient buildings of Gmunden. Close to the Hotel Esplanade, there is the Renaissance-style town hall with its famous ceramic chimes. On the town hall square, a farmer’s market is held every Tuesday. Lake Traun can also be explored by boat. The historic Gmunden tramway starts a few steps from Hotel Esplanade and leads to the famous Gmundner Ceramics Factory.

Important Information

The easiest access to the hotel is via the public underground car park on the Esplanade. On leaving the car park, please turn left toward the lake and use the glass lift to get into the Panorama Restaurant. Guests arriving after 20:00 are kindly requested to inform the hotel in advance to receive the code for the lift. This can be noted in the Comments Box during booking or by contacting the hotel using the contact details found on the booking confirmation.

Parking in the underground car park is free for 20 minutes. Reduced tickets are available at the reception.
