This traditional family-run hotel and restaurant enjoys a strategic yet quiet location just 10 km south of the centre of Graz. Room Information

A broadband internet connection is available in every room and is free of charge. Guests enjoy free use of the sauna and the steam bath, as well as free entrance to the Schwarzl Leisure Centre.

Food & Beverage

The restaurant serves home-style cooking, Styrian dishes, vegetarian and whole food meals, but also international specialities. The Styrian fried chicken in breadcrumb coating, a classical dish of Urdlwirt, is very popular and has been enjoyed for more than a century.

The restaurant is open Tuesday to Saturday from 11:00 to 22:00, on Mondays from 18:00 to 22:00, and on Sundays and public holidays from 18:00 to 20:00.

Local sports and leisure opportunities:
Schwarzl Leisure Centre with large lake, kart race track, water skiing lift,
outdoor fitness and much more. This is also the place where many concerts, fairs and other events take place. Tennis courts are located in the village, and cycle paths are close by. Free of charge bicycle rental is available at the hotel.

Attractions in Styria:
Wine routes, including the Schilcher Wine Route (typical Styrian wine), Apple Route, "Thermenregion" (region of spas), castles, stately homes, the home of the Lipizzan horses in Piber (Western Styria) and much more.

The city of Graz:
The Styrian capital offers many opportunities for culture lovers, including the opera and many theatres. There are many different museums and shopping opportunities, as well as the new modern sights of Graz, such as the “Kunsthaus” (House of Arts) and the floating island on the river Mur nearby.
