Located 600 metres above sea level in the Austrian-Hungarian nature reserve “Geschriebenstein-Irottkö”, the Kohlstätterhof country hotel invites you to spend a relaxing holiday far away from mass tourism. The hotel is situated amid rolling hills surrounded by a beautiful green landscape, but is only a few kilometres from the health spas of Bad Tatzmannsdorf, Lutzmannsburg and Stegersbach. It is an ideal starting point for hiking and cycling tours. Area Information

There are many well-signposted hiking trails with special themes (hunting, wine, forest experience, charcoal, lime kiln, etc.) as well as many museums in the surrounding Geschriebenstein nature reserve.

Southern Burgenland is ideal for hiking and cycling, and also features several castles, museums and observation points. The nearby Hungarian city of Szombathely is a popular destination for shoppers.

By car:

From Vienna:
Motorway A2, exit Krumbach, then on the federal road B55 in the direction of Kirchschlag, pass through Kirchschlag, in the direction of Pilgersdorf to the B50 (Lockenhaus intersection), turn right on the B50, pass through Langeck and go to Weißenbachl, then turn left (green sign: Kohlstätterhof) to Unterkohlstätten, then follow the signs to the hotel.

From Graz:
Motorway A2, exit Lafnitztal-Oberwart, go in the direction of Oberwart on the B50, pass through Oberwart in the direction of Bernstein, then on to the Oberkohlstätten interchange.

By train:
Free pick-up from the Oberwart train station.

By plane:
The closest airports are Graz and Vienna.
