Matreier Tauernhaus

The Matreier Tauernhaus, operated by the Brugger family since 3 generations, looks back at 800 years of tradition of hospitality on the old trade route over the Felbertauern pass. This historic building, founded by the Archbishop of Salzburg in 1207, is located in the Matreier Tauerntal, a well-known and popular valley near the Felbertauern pass and road tunnel. All of the Alpine-style rooms have a private bathroom Tyrolean specialities, trout from the own pond and a rich buffet breakfast are served in the restaurant and on the terrace. Packed lunches are available. Kids will love the playground and the big petting zoo.
