This traditional wooden chalet is located on the Alfenalm mountain pasture in East Tyrol’s scenic Villgraten Valley, a 10-minute walk from the village of Kalkstein. Guests can start their hikes and ski tours at the doorstep. The Maxerhütte features 4 bedrooms and a kitchen with a refrigerator and a wood stove. Kitchenware and bed linen are provided, and there are barbecue facilities outdoors. Free private parking is available at Maxerhütte auf der Alfenalm. A restaurant is available in Kalkstein.

Please note that this is a very basic property with only an outhouse toilet. There is no bathroom or shower. Guests can use shower facilities 2 km away. In winter, the water has to be taken from a well outside.
